Mindeep AI Translator ("we," "our," or "the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that provides AI-powered translation services. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our extension.

The Extension stores the following information locally on your device using Chrome's local storage:

• API Keys: Your GLM (Zhipu AI) and/or Google Gemini API keys that you provide
• Settings: Your preferred API provider (GLM or Gemini), target language preference, and debug mode settings

Important: All configuration data is stored exclusively on your local device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers except for the translation API providers when you actively request a translation.

2. Translation Requests

When you select text and request a translation:

• The selected text is sent to either GLM (Zhipu AI) or Google Gemini API (depending on your configuration) to perform the translation
• Translation requests are sent only when you actively click the translate button
• We do not collect, store, or log the text you translate on our servers

3. No Personal Data Collection

We do not collect:

• Personal identification information
• Browsing history
• Website content (except text you explicitly select for translation)
• Location data
• Device information
• Usage analytics or telemetry data

How We Use Your Information

Local Storage

• API keys and settings are used solely to provide translation functionality
• This data remains on your device and is not shared with us or any third parties (except the translation API providers when you request a translation)

Translation API Providers

When you request a translation:

• Your selected text is sent to either:
  • GLM (Zhipu AI): https://open.bigmodel.cn/ - for GLM-based translations
  • Google Gemini: https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/ - for Gemini-based translations
• These are the only external services that receive your selected text

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All configuration data (API keys, settings) is stored locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API
• Data is stored on your device only and is not synchronized to any cloud service

Security Measures

• All API communications use HTTPS encryption
• API keys are stored locally and never transmitted except to the respective API providers during translation requests
• We do not have access to your API keys or any stored data

Data Deletion

• To delete all stored data, simply uninstall the extension
• You can also clear Chrome's extension storage manually through Chrome's developer tools

Children's Privacy

Our Extension is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
